To connect your Dialpad you will need to populate the API Key and Phone Number fields in your Settings and enable AI transcriptions.

1A. From the home screen at Dialpad.com navigate to “Your account summary” to confirm that you are an Admin user (required to set up API keys). It should say your role in the “Your account summary” panel as show below. If you are not and and believe you should be, contact DialPad support (lower right question mark chat support link from home page :screenshot-2025-03-31-at-11-29-00-am:).
1B. Next go to your admin settings from the left panel. Click the dropdown in the top left and select “My Company”.
Then navigate to “Authentication” & “API Keys”.
1C. Click “Add Key” (top right) to create a new API key and name it “Indie”. Select the “Additional Scopes” you see selected below in order to ensure the API has sufficient access to the correct data.
Hit “Save”, and then “Copy Key”. Ensure you copy the API key directly into your Indie settings as you will not be able to access the number again. (Note it can be prudent to save the API key to a secure password manager as well so you access at a later date, if necessary).

1D. Find Your Phone Number
You can access your DialPad number by going to your personal settings. Ensure to copy your personal number not the Organization’s mainline.
