Indie offers video meetings bots (Notetakers) to help users transcribe key customer meetings.

We determine what meetings to attend based on your integrated Calendar (see Gmail & Calendar Integration) If the following conditions are met Indie will send a notetaker:

  1. You (the user) are the host of the meeting
  2. The meetings has attendees listed with email addresses external to your domain
  3. The meeting has an link to a video meeting platform (see supported platforms below)
  4. The meeting was created after you signed up for Indie

If the above conditions are met, a notetaker will be sent to the meeting link provided.

Note: The host will need to admit the bot, and give it permissions to record the meeting once the host has received the necessary consent from other attendees.

At the conclusion of each meeting, the notetaker will automatically transcribe the recording and submit the notes to your account. Indie tries to link the notes with an existing customer profile using the email address provided on the calendar invitation. If we are unable to to find matching customer we will create a new customer and store the notes there.

Troubleshooting Notetakers

If your meeting notetaker does not enter the meeting as expected check the following:

If the notetaker appears but remains on “awaiting permission to record”
